Who we are

Home care should feel personal—not transactional.

Rocky Pine was created to give Calgary families a more human, flexible way to arrange support at home. We believe good care begins by listening: to routines, priorities, culture, family relationships, and the small details that make home feel like home.

CDHCI education is one part of what we offer. We also provide broader private home-care services for people who want practical help, companionship, caregiver relief, or more consistent day-to-day support.

Comprehensive home care

Support that adapts as needs and routines change.

Services are planned around each person’s goals, preferences, assessed needs, staff availability, and the agreed scope of care.

01

Personal support

Respectful assistance with daily routines such as dressing, grooming, mobility, and other personal-care needs within the agreed care plan.

02

Companionship

Conversation, shared activities, walks, and meaningful social connection that can make days at home feel fuller and less isolated.

03

Family caregiver respite

Dependable support that gives family and unpaid caregivers time to rest, attend appointments, work, or care for their own wellbeing.

04

Meals and home routines

Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and everyday routines that contribute to comfort and safety at home.

05

Appointments and errands

Accompaniment and practical assistance for appointments, essential errands, shopping, and community activities, where arranged.

Service availability and scope are confirmed before care begins. Any regulated health service is provided only when offered by Rocky Pine and delivered by an appropriately qualified professional.

How we approach care

Professional support, grounded in everyday respect.

01

Listen first

We begin with the person, not a checklist—learning what matters and how support should fit into daily life.

02

Communicate clearly

Clients and families should understand what has been arranged, who to contact, and what to expect.

03

Protect dignity and choice

We respect privacy, preferences, independence, and the right to participate in decisions about care.

04

Stay locally accountable

Being part of the Calgary community means building trust through responsive service and dependable follow-through.

More than one path to care

Private home care and CDHCI can serve different needs.

Private home care may be arranged directly with Rocky Pine and paid for privately, subject to availability and a service agreement. CDHCI is a separate AHS program: AHS determines eligibility and authorized services, and clients choose an eligible registered provider.

We can discuss Rocky Pine’s private services without assessing or promising CDHCI eligibility, public funding, service approval, or provider selection.
